What happens to a neighborhood when the Bank starts foreclosing? A close knit community bands together to fight the land grab, but can they win against money-hungry developers?

A small waterfront community Southport CT, is the long-time home of first and second generation Italian, Irish and Jewish families. For years they’ve all held ‘reasonable’ mortgages with a cooperative bank manager. When their friend is ‘invited’ to retire, his replacement won’t honor the arrangements and starts foreclosures. When the terrified community discovers the bank manager is working with a big-time developer to replace the neighborhood with a shopping mall, they develop a scheme to save their homes.
